So, before servicing the combination switch on vehicles equipped with airbags, the battery must be disconnected and allowed to wait for 2 minutes. Remove the steering column covers, connectors from the multi-function switches and the switches. Install the new components, secure them, and reconnect everything making sure everything is aligned and tight. Finally, re-connect the battery.
