How to Service and Repair an Ignition Coil on 2005 Jeep Wrangler?

Before servicing or repairing the ignition coil, separate the connector at its rear and take out all secondary cables from the coil. The 4 mounting bolts on the 2.4L ignition coil must be removed in order to take the coil out of the engine bay. Mount the coil to the engine and connect it with the 4 bolts that must be installed to the specified torque. Now, place the secondary cables and re-install the electrical connection at the coil's rear and fit the air cleaner tube and housing again.
