2006 Chrysler Crossfire Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the Upstream Oxygen Sensor on 2006 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Disconnect the negative battery cable at the beginning, before proceeding to service the upstream O2 sensor. Both corners of the engine cover must be grasped flatly, then lifted without strain. After that, detach the electrical harness on the O2 sensor and remove the actual sensor from its place (1). Don't forget to put anti-seize on the bolt before tightening it by hand to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.). Fit the engine cover into place by lining up the retaining clips with the rubber mounts and pushing hard. Using a little lubricant on the rubber mounts will help with the installation of the engine cover. After all the checks, put back the negative battery cable.
