How to Maintain and Fix a Rocker Arm on 2006 Chrysler Crossfire?

Always use gloves, safety glasses and protective clothing as you begin by dismantling the camshaft bearing bridge to work on the rocker arm assembly. Use gentle pressure when tapping the shaft so the camshaft bearing bridge doesn't get bent and the hollow rocker arm shaft doesn't get damaged. Drive out the rocker shaft by using a 16 mm drift. Should resistance occur, warm the bearing no more than 160°C. When the rocker arms are removed, inspect the bearing surfaces and change out any rocker arm with scoring that runs along the whole arm. Be sure to wash all the parts cleanly before you start assembling. Cool the shaft, slide it into where the camshaft bearing bridge meets the rocker arms and then gently tap them with a mallet to ensure they are straight. After securing the block in place, place two camshaft bearing bridge bolts through the holes for the rocker arm shaft, making certain the oil supply holes are pointed downward and fit the camshaft bridge onto the shaft.
