2006 Chrysler Pacifica Brake Light Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Brake Light Switch on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Start the brake light switch service by disconnecting and isolating the battery negative cable from its post. Turn the brake lamp switch counterclockwise around 30 degrees, then carefully pull it from its place in the mount. Undo the locking tab of the switch and take out the wiring connector, then throw out the brake lamp switch because it should not be used again. To set up the switch, fit its wiring connector onto the switch, then secure the locking tab. Put the switch into the bracket by pairing its index tab with the slot there and then twist it towards the front about 30 degrees until it clicks into the bracket. When you have released the brake pedal all the way, lift or move the lever on the brake lamp switch upward from a tilted position to completely straight to place the switch in the vehicle. Link the vehicle's battery back up, check the stop lamps to verify that they turn off when you release the brake pedal and test the brakes during a road trip, especially focusing on ABS and the speed control system.
