2006 Chrysler Pacifica Dimmer Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service the Left Dimmer Switch on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: First, remove the negative cable from the battery before starting the service. Take out the steering column shrouds at the bottom and top and afterwards disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connector from the switch. The next job is to remove the two screws that hold the left multi-function switch to the housing and pull the switch out of both the column and the vehicle. To install, place the left multi-function switch in the housing and turn in the two screws until they reach 2.5 Nm (22 in. lbs.) before tightening them. Put back the wiring harness onto the panel gauge and connect it to the switch. Reinstall the two shrouds of the steering column with bolts torqued up to 1.9 Nm (17 in. lbs.). In the last step, join the battery's negative cable and make sure both the vehicle and its system are operating properly.
