How to Maintain the Back Up Light Switch on a T350 Manual Transaxle on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Service the back up lamp switch on the T350 manual transaxle by raising your vehicle with a hoist. Disconnect the wire harness from the back up lamp switch and remove the screws holding the switch to the transaxle. Before installing the switch, put Teflon tape (or any good substitute) on its threads, then fasten it so the torque reads 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.), without overtightening. After installing the switch, connect the back up lamp switch wiring, bring the vehicle back down and test that the back up lamp lights up.
