2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Mirror Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the Mirror Switch for Left-Hand Drive on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: Remove and separate the left-hand car's battery cable from the negative terminal as the first step to work on the power mirror switch. Unlock the instrument panel bezel by first lifting the top part back, bringing the bottom one to the ground and then quickly pulling it off. After that, unfasten the two screws holding the left instrument panel end cover in place. Next, lift the cover off by sliding it to the rear and taking it out from under the left A-pillar trim and top cover. Come off the wiring connector coming from the switch for the power mirror and take off the cover that wraps it. Hold the mirror switch near the front of the case, squeezing one of the tabs with your pliers and pull it free. To install, slide the mirror switch into the opening in the cover and press it in until it snaps securely. After that, attach the power mirror switch wiring connector back to its socket. Fix the left end cover to the door, putting it under the A-pillar trim and top cover at the same time. Fasten the left instrument panel end cover with the two installed screws, move the left lower instrument panel bezel over, check its hinge orientation and attach its hinge in place. Move the bezel pointedly upward, let it rest securely and plug in the negative battery cable.
