  A: Always allow five minutes for the blower motor resistor to cool before working on it, since it will become very hot during operation. Unplug the negative battery cable and then remove the screen from the passenger side cowl grille. Disengage the two retaining tabs by pulling the blower motor resistor (1) straight out from the dash panel and pulling the connector lock on the wire harness connector (2) to remove it from the resistor. To install, uncover the two electrical wires of the blower, lock the harness connector onto the blower motor resistor and fasten the lock. Set the blower motor resistor (1) in place in the dash, engage its retaining tabs and then add the passenger side grille screen and the negative battery cable.
