How to Service the Rear Sway Bar Link on 2006 Dodge Dakota?

Before servicing the sway bar link in the rear suspension, lift and support the vehicle, take off the rear tire and keep the rear axle up with a jack. After that, unscrew the link nut from the sway bar and then remove the nut and bolt from the upper side of the frame. After removing the upper nut from the left side sway bar link, slide the bolt out and down until it sits below the fuel tank. With the sway bar link now removed, fasten the upper bolt to the new link, aim the link into place on the frame and tighten it with the nut to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Join the sway bar link to the sway bar and tighten the nut with 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.) before you take away the jack and let the car down.
