How to Service Rear Coil Springs on 2006 Dodge Durango?

Before you start, raise and secure the vehicle and use an appropriate holding device to support the axle. Get rid of the lower shock bolt and the bell crank bolt (4) from the rear axle. Lower the jack till the spring as well as the isolator are removed from the vehicle. Always add weight to the vehicle when installing, so that your tires are supporting its entire load and the torques work correctly. Put spring (3) on the isolator (2) and make sure it sits in the spring pockets. Secure the rear axle to its location and install bolt (4) to the bell crank, using a torque of 251 Nm (185 ft. lbs.). After that, install the lower shock bolts onto the rear axle, tightening them to 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs.). When you're done, take out the fixture that supports the rear axle.
