How to Service and Repair a Rear Engine Mount on 2006 Dodge Durango?

Before starting, hoist the vehicle on a lift and place a suitable jack beneath the transmission. Take out both bolts and the nuts from the transmission mount. Lift the transmission enough to slide the crossmember off the mount, at which time you can unscrew and remove the mount. Put some threadlocking compound on the bolts before using a torque wrench to secure the two bolts that attach the transmission mount to the transmission bracket, with 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.). Reduce the transmission until the transmission mount sits on the crossmember, so its studs are aligned with the crossmember's slots. Set the nuts onto the studs coming out of the transmission mounts and put them through the crossmember openings. Tighten them to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
