2006 Dodge Durango Windshield Washer Nozzle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Windshield Washer Nozzle on 2006 Dodge Durango?
A: Start with the front nozzle by sticking a trim stick or a proper wide flat-bladed gadget between the hood grille and the nozzle to push the latch out. Hold the latch and lift the nozzle to separate it from the hood, then make sure the hose is freely disconnected from the barbed nipple after that. Since the auto latch on the rear nozzle is designed for one use only, if you remove it you'll damage it, so a new one is required. Use a gentle amount of pressure to release the catch at the bottom of the rear washer nozzle from where it attaches to the rear liftgate, then pull it out far enough to remove the hose from the nipple. Dispose of the nozzle after that. For front nozzle installation, put it just above the hole in the hood panel, reattach the washer hose to the barbed nipple, insert the nozzle into the opening and push down on the top until the latches are locked. Next, set a new rear nozzle on the outer panel of the liftgate, put the rubber gasket in its place, attach the washer hose to the barbed nipple on the nozzle, insert the nozzle and hose into the mounting hole, insert the tab and finally, push down hard on the lower side of the nozzle until it snaps in.
