How to Service the A/C Switch on 2006 Dodge Sprinter 2500?

Before doing the A/C heater control service, with vehicles that have air bags, disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable to disable the supplemental restraint system for at least two minutes, to prevent the air bag prematurely going off. First, unhook the bezel around the instrument panel from the center, then remove the two screws that anchor the A/C-heater control to the panel. Pull the A/C-heater control out of the panel to find the connections at the back, label them and disconnect them. When you change the A/C-heater control, take off the two mounting brackets attached to it. When you're finished with installation, put the two mounting brackets on the A/C-heater controller, link both wiring harness connectors and be sure the bottom adjustment lever's control cable is connected to the front adjustment wheel. Set the A/C-heater control back into the dash, attach it and tighten the two screws to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.), then fit the center bezel and join the negative battery cable.
