First, remove the negative cable from the battery, after which you should remove the instrument panel's central bezel. After that, remove the four screws holding the A/C-heater control to the instrument panel and gently pull the control straight towards you. Open up the tab by which the cable is secured at the rear of the A/C heater control to disconnect the blend door control cable. Take a small pick or tool with a blade, work the connector lock loose, unplug the A/C-heater control wire connectors and then pull the control from the back of the heating unit.
