2006 Jeep Commander Coolant Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Locate and Replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor on a 3.7L Engine on 2006 Jeep Commander?
A: The ECT sensor on the 3.7L engine is installed in one of the water jackets of the intake manifold. To eliminate it, empty the cooling system, unscrew the electrical connector and unscrew the sensor. Use thread sealant when reinstalling, tighten to 11 Nm, reconnect the connector and remove any lost coolant.
