You should first take out and isolate the negative battery cable, wait 120 seconds to allow the system capacitor to discharge and then touch the cruise control switch. After that, pull out the air bag module and remove the electrical plug. Take out the mounting screw from the speed control switch and get the switch off the steering wheel. When fitting, put the switch back in its original place on the steering wheel, fit the mounting screw, tighten it with 1.5 N.m (14 in. lbs.) torque and insert the electrical connector into the switch. Next, reinstall the air bag module and link the negative battery cable to the battery once again.
