In order to fix the EGR valve, disconnection of the negative battery cable and the engine cover is necessary. Turn off the cooling system, unscrew the electrical connector and hose on the EGR valve and the valve assembly. Wipe down, replace gasket where necessary and tighten bolts to desired levels.
