  A: To deal with the oil pan, disconnect the negative battery cable, fit the engine support and hoist up the vehicle. Take off the front wheel assemblies and the skid plate (when it's present) and finally, empty the engine oil. Mark each bolt and bolt stud where it is now, remove all the FR mounting bolts, disconnect the LH tie rod, the LH lower ball joint and the clevis. Unbolt the axle brace and front axle from the LH and take out the front prop shaft. After that, drain the front axle. After lifting the front axle with a transmission jack, remove all the bracket bolts and carefully remove the front differential even though the RH axle is still mounted. Take out the transmission oil cooler line bracket and the engine to transmission stiffening bracket. Attach Special Tool 8534 where the fender meets the lip, adjust its brackets so their holes fit the mounting holes of the fender and secure the brackets with four M6 X 1.0 X 25 MM flanged cap screws.
