Opening the hood is the first requirement for performing maintenance on the windshield washer spray nozzle. Detach the two wiper arms from their pivots and remove the cover/grille of the cowl plenum. Look under the cowl plenum cover/grille panel, remove the washer nozzle hose from the front washer nozzle's barbed nipple. After releasing the integral latch on the front washer nozzle, push the nozzle up through the mounting hole toward the top side of the cowl plenum cover/grille panel and remove it. Set the end of the front washer nozzle secured by the antirotation tab into the top hole in the cowl plenum cover/grille panel. Firmly press the front washer nozzle upwards so the locking pins located on the underside of the panel slide into the cowl plenum cover/grille panel. Latch the washer hose onto the barbed end of the front washer nozzle and put the hose back into its clips under the cowl plenum cover/grille panel. Then, put the cowl plenum cover/grille panel in place, attach both wiper arms to their pivots and finish by closing and fastening the hood.
