Begin by pulling the front wiper arm to its highest point so that its blade is off the glass and the wiper spring tension is relieved from where the wiper arm pivots. Gentle raise off the plastic nut cap at the pivot location of the wiper arm and remove the nut that keeps the wiper arm attached to the wiper pivot shaft. Should you need to, use a proper battery terminal puller to release the wiper arm from the pivot shaft and then disconnect the front pivot end from the same shaft. Before you begin installation, move the ignition switch to On and move the knob on the right wiper control stalk to Off until the wipers do not move anymore.
