2007 Chrysler Aspen A/C Accumulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Service an A/C Accumulator for Optimal System Performance on 2007 Chrysler Aspen?
A: During service on the A/C refrigerant system, adjusting the refrigerant oil helps prevent both malfunction and damage to the compressor. A faulty A/C compressor needs the A/C accumulator to be replaced to prevent more harm. Consult the chart for refrigerant oil capacities whenever you are replacing several A/C system components. Should the A/C accumulator alone be exchanged, add 30 milliliters (1 fluid ounce) of the proper refrigerant oil to the system. Always make sure to replace the O-ring seals and gaskets of the refrigerant line every time a line is opened, to prevent losses. Attach the accumulator and bracket in the engine compartment first and afterward use a bolt to secure the accumulator to the right front frame rail, tightening it to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.). After that, fit the front and back sections of the liquid line onto the accumulator, remove the system's air and fill it with the correct amount of refrigerant.
