2007 Chrysler Aspen A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Install and Replace an A/C Hose in an HVAC System on 2007 Chrysler Aspen?
A: Check the oil level in the refrigerant before installing the HVAC hose/line to avoid harm to the compressor. Use the Refrigerant Oil Capacities chart to determine the number of ounces to add when changing several A/C components. Whenever you open a refrigerant line, don't forget to put in new seals and gaskets to stop leaks. Bring the underbody line assembly down and lift the hoist to make the frame and body mount levels. Join the underbody lines to the vehicle with five screws and fit and tighten all body mount bolts on the passenger side. Disable the jack stands and, using heater hose clamps, join the heater hoses to the back heater core pipes. Take away any tape or plugs placed on the ports of the rear suction line, rear liquid line and rear evaporator extension line tapping plate. Clean all new rubber O-ring seals with oil meant for R-134a and install them only on the hermetically sealed rear suction and liquid line connector fittings, as directed by the manufacturer. Place the rear suction and liquid line fittings on the rear evaporator tapping plate and secure them with a nut that's been tightened to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Connect the underbody heater hoses with the front heater hoses and put in the clamps. Detach the tape or plugs from the refrigerant couplers and put lubrication on the new O-ring rubber seals you placed on these couplers. Secure the underbody liquid and suction lines to their particular extension tubes and fasten the second set of clips. Place the tires on the passenger side and the wheelhouse splash shield on the right front again and then bring down the vehicle and link the negative cable to the battery. Top up the engine coolant, let all of the refrigerant out, add refrigerant oil as required and fill the refrigerant system.
