2007 Chrysler Crossfire Brake Caliper Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Brake Caliper on the Rear Disc on 2007 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Put the rear brake pads in before you replace the brake caliper. After that, hold the brake hose with a line wrench and spin the caliper to tighten it, checking it does not twist or kink before connecting it to the knuckle. Attach the caliper to the knuckle by using the bolts provided and fasten them at 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.). Then, bleed the brake system, assemble the wheel and tire and install it. You should not move the vehicle until you are sure the vehicle is stopped. After lowering the car, press the brake pedal until you feel the caliper pistons and brake pads seated. If needed, replace any old brake fluid by pouring new fluid into the reservoir and spot-check for leaks.
