2007 Chrysler Crossfire Parking Brake Cable Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Effectively Service and Repair a Parking Brake Cable on 2007 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: First, raise and support your car, then use a jack and a jack stand to take out the wheel and tire. After that, unscrew the rear caliper assembly bolts and remove the rear brake rotor. Pull out the parking brake shoe assembly and now loosen the bolt on the parking brake cable equalizer tensioner. Remove the bolt holding the front parking brake cable to the parking brake cable equalizer and take the cable and the parking brake cable from the equalizer. Detach the parking brake shoe actuator arm by pulling back on it from the rear wheel carrier, then open the top cover of the arm to see the parking brake cable pin. Insert the cable pin into the slot on the arm to remove the actuator from the pulley tube. Ultimately, disconnect the parking brake cable from the rear wheel carrier by removing its bolt and pull it from the eyelets all the way out of the car.
