2008 Chrysler Crossfire Brake Caliper Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Rear Brake Caliper on 2008 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: You should install the rear brake pads before moving on to remove and replace the caliper. Hold the brake hose onto the caliper with a line wrench, then turn the caliper until it is snug and the brake hose is not twisted. Only after that, install the caliper to the knuckle. Mount the calipers and screw on the bolts to a tightness of 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.). After you have finished, run bleeding the brakes using either your hands or a hydraulic pump. After you finish bleeding, bring in the wheel and tire assembly and wait to move the vehicle until a strong brake pedal return is noticed. Take the vehicle down and press the brake pedal many times to achieve tight contact of the brake parts. If needed, add new fluid to the brake fluid tank and inspect the car for leaks.
