2007 Chrysler Pacifica Crossmember Bushing Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Crossmember Bushing for the Rear Spring Link on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Before you start, lift and support the car to work on the spring link's rear crossmember bushing. After removing the rear spring from the side being repaired, take out the bolt and nut that hold the spring link to the crossmember. Drop the spring link below the bushing found in the crossmember. Place all the tools above the bushing with the crossmember checked against Special Tool 9032-1 and not the welds. Use the press to screw the screw-drive until the bushing is pushed out of the crossmember. During installation, slide the new bushing onto the rear crossmember then carefully position all the tools over it and the crossmember, so Special Tool 9032-3 does not touch the welds on the rear of the bushing. Tighten the press screw-drive with your hand to press the bushing into the crossmember, so it contacts the Receiver at the opposite side. Remove the tools, put the spring link over the bushing in the crossmember, install the bolt and nut, but leave them loose for now. Set the spring back into place and put all needed items, then bring the vehicle down. Set the vehicle on an alignment rack or drive-on hoist to lift it, so you can reach the bolt. Then, secure the bolt at the spring link crossmember to 109 N.m (80 ft.lbs.) torque, followed by a wheel alignment.
