2007 Chrysler Pacifica Wheel Bearing Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Wheel Bearing and What Are the Necessary Steps on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Align the bolts for the bearing and the hub behind the knuckle and parking brake support so the support is locked into place but only tightened enough for now. Guide the tip of your wheel speed sensor cable into the hole under the parking brake support and place the hub and bearing in the middle of the axle. When your car has AWD, place the hub and bearing onto the half shaft. Put the hub and bearing onto the rod that supports the brake and join them with the bolts while fixing the wheel speed sensor head to the bottom of the assembly. Add the four bolts to the hub and bearing and tighten them to 81 Nm. Push the routing grommet onto the parking brake support bracket and guide the cable on the toe link and rear suspension crossmember, attaching the clips where directed. Clip the wheel speed sensor connector onto the spare tire bracket and then connect the vehicle wire harness to the wheel speed sensor connector. Connect the brake rotor and the caliper to your vehicle. Place the washer and hub nut on the end of the half shaft for AWD vehicles and as a helper stops the hub from moving by pushing down on the brake pedal, tighten the nut to 244 Nm. With the half shaft lying flat, screw on the spring washer, nut lock and cotter pin at the end of the shaft. Install the tire and wheel assembly, tighten the wheel nuts with 135 Nm of force. Test the parking brake shoes by lifting up and lowering your platform and then adjust them if they need it, before lowering the vehicle. Put pressure on the brake pedal a few times to feel it holding the wheels, then go outside for a short car trip with many stops to wear off any extra materials and secure all brake parts.
