How to Maintain an Air Bag on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?

Before doing anything else on the air bag, lift the hood and remove the negative battery cable. Let the air bag system reserve capacitor discharge for two minutes to avoid accidental deployment which could injure or kill you. After that, loosen the two bolts 5 holding in place the driver air bag 3 found behind the steering wheel. Remove the two squib connectors 2 from the back of the driver air bag 3 and then remove the driver air bag 3 from the vehicle. Remember, a new air bag will also have a trim cover and horn switch inside, so you do not need to attach them to a new air bag that hasn't had the passenger air bag set off yet.
