How to Service a Brake Light Switch on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before anything, unclip the air cleaner cover using the two clips and put it aside for later. After that, unplug and separate the negative cable from the battery. Lift off the pad just beneath the knee blocker and after that, fold down and remove the knee blocker that's below the steering column. You should rotate the switch on the bracket counterclockwise a little under 30 degrees and then pull it backward to remove it. Detach the wiring harness connector and throw out the brake lamp switch, since it is not allowed to be fixed after removal.
