How to Remove and Service a Crankshaft Seal on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before servicing the crankshaft main bearing seal, pull out the transaxle and the flex plate. Put a 3/16 flat bladed screwdriver between the dust lip and the case of the crankshaft seal, then angle the screwdriver against the case of the metal. Open the seal, but make sure the screwdriver is not touching the surface of the crankshaft seal; touching the edge of the crankshaft is okay.
