How to Service and Repair a Steering Wheel-Mounted Cruise Control Switch on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

First, make sure you're protected by removing the air cleaner lid, disconnecting the inlet air temperature sensor and makeup air hose and detaching the negative battery cable. Cut off power to the car and then take out the air bag. After that, unscrew the top mounting screw and turn the steering wheel so that the switch is lined up with the 6 o'clock marker which makes it easier to take out the two screws from its back. Unplug the electrical cable from the connector, then lift out the switch.
