How to Service and Repair a Sway Bar Bushing on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before beginning, raise the car and make sure it's securely supported. Slide an Allen wrench into the three bolts on the rear axle and remove them. Pull out each retainer from the slot in the axle so the sway bar hangs only by its links. Pull back the crimp tab on top of each retainer, twist the two halves apart and remove both top and bottom parts. Following this, fold the cushion over the slit in the end which separates it from the sway bar.
