2007 Chrysler Sebring Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Bleed a Brake Master Cylinder on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?
A: You can clamp the brake master cylinder in a vise and cover its mouth with soft-jaw caps if your car does not have ABS. Screw Bleeder Tube into the primary port of each wheel, then attach the rear tube from Special Tool 8358-1 into the lower primary port. Tighten all nuts to 17 Nm (150 in. lbs.). Then, place Bleeder Tube (2), Special Tool 8358-2, into every secondary port, so that the rear brake line fits into the proportioning valve on the lower secondary port. Secure them all by tightening the nuts to 17 Nm (150 in. lbs.). Get the Bleeder Tubes flexible and fit the open sides into the reservoir of the brake master cylinder, making sure the outlets are beneath the brake fluid mark when you add fluid. In case you have ABS, push Thread Bleeder Tube (2) into the primary and secondary ports, fastening the nuts to 17 Nm (150 in. lbs.) and bend the tubes into the reservoir with the ends sunk into brake fluid. Fill the reservoir with Mopar(R) Brake Fluid DOT 3 Motor Vehicle or an equal replacement. Slowly push on the pistons using the dowel to push out brake fluid from the Bleeder Tubes and release after they have recoiled. Keep blowing until all the air is out of the molds. Get rid of the Bleeder Tubes and cover up the brake master cylinder outlet ports, insert the reservoir fill cap and lift out the brake master cylinder from the vice for installation on your vehicle.
