2007 Dodge Dakota Brake Line Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace the Brake Line from the Axle to the Frame on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: Set the axle up in its regular curb position and hold it securely for replacing the rear brake hose. Use a prop rod on the brake pedal to keep it down, keeping pressure in the brake system, isolating the master cylinder and preventing brake fluid from running out as you bleed only at the spot you are working on. Raise and sustain the vehicle as you continue. Unfasten brake lines 1 and 3 which are tied to the brake hose 2. Next, remove brake line 2 from hose 3. Having done that, remove mounting clip 1 for brake hose 3 at the frame and then take out hose 3.
