2008 Dodge Dakota Brake Line Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Replace Brake Lines from the Axle to the Wheel Cylinders on 2008 Dodge Dakota?
A: After cleaning the rear brake line, starting from the axle to the wheel cylinders, push it into the bend over tab and bend the tab over. After that, connect the brake line to the clip on the spring hanger. For brake line 3, connect it to brake hose 2 found at the axle. After that, hook brake line 1 onto wheel cylinder 2. Should you have changed brake line 1, repeat the procedure by attaching the line to the flange over the axle, then bending it over and adding it to the clip on the spring hanger. First, connect line 1 to hose 2 on the axle, followed by a connection to wheel cylinder 2. After you've finished, drop the vehicle, release the support and bleed the brakes.
