2007 Dodge Durango Oil Pan Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace an Oil Pan on 2007 Dodge Durango?
A: Carefully scrub the oil pan gasket mating area on both the bedplate and oil pan to remove dirt, check the gasket that comes with the oil pan and replace it if you see any damage. Set the oil pan gasket/windage tray into its place and attach the oil pickup tube. Should it be removed, replace it with the stud at No. 9. Then, set the mounting bolt and nuts in place, cinching the nuts to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) of pressure. Place the oil pan in its correct spot and then tighten all the mounting bolts to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.), using the proper order. If included with your car, fit the structural dust cover. Slide the engine into its mounts with Special Tool 8534 and then bolt in the left and right engine mounts, tightening the nuts to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.). Detach Special Tool 8534, replace the intake manifold, place oil in the engine, link back the negative battery cable and then start the engine to look for leaks.
