How to Maintain and Fix a Steering Column Cover on 2007 Jeep Commander?

Begin by removing power from the steering column cover by disconnecting and isolating the battery negative cable. After that, unscrew the three bolts holding down the driver's side panel and disconnect it from the car. Use a trim stick C-4755 or something similar, pull up the sliders above, lower the cover and then disconnect the hinges at the bottom. Then lower the cover to the carpet, place your hand below the edge and pull up and rearward to release the lower pins.
