2007 Jeep Commander Power Steering Cooler Parts and Q&A

  • Q: What is the Installation Process for a Power Steering Cooler on 3.7L and 4.7L Engines on 2007 Jeep Commander?
A: When installing the power steering cooler, place and connect the cooler with its hoses to the car, so that it clips onto the a/c condenser. Connect the hose from the gear's steering return line to the cooler, then connect the other end from the reservoir return hose to the cooler as well. Put fresh power steering fluid in and clear out the air with a bleed, then turn on the engine to find any leaks. Use six grille push pins to install the grille last and then place the hood weather-strip seal on the radiator cowl.
