2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove the ABS Control Module from the Hydraulic Control Assembly on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: Before taking out the Hydraulic Control Assembly for the antilock brakes, remove the negative battery cable from the battery. Then, put in a brake pedal prop rod and siphon the master cylinder. Unlink the primary brake line from the master cylinder and from the HCU (4). Once that's done, detach the secondary brake tube from both the master cylinder and the HCU (4). Take out the four wires connected to the HCU (4) on the chassis lines and remove the electrical connectors from the HCU (4). Do the same before removing the mounting nuts at the HCU bracket, along with HCU (3) and the bracket (5) from the car. After that, take out the three ABM bolts that join the ABM to the HCU.
