2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Wiper Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Install and Adjust a Rear Wiper Arm on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: You should park the rear wiper motor by switching the ignition to On and turning the rear wiper switch off before installing the arm. If you see that the wiper motor is moving its shaft, let it stop before turning the ignition switch back to Off. While in park, the wiper arm on the back must be lined up with the shaft where the motor pivots. Set the rear wiper arm on the liftgate, so that the support arm rests on the park ramp and the widest end of the arm's pivot over the rear wiper motor shaft. Place the tapered hole over the output shaft, install and tighten the securing nut to 10 Nm (86 in. lbs.). Use a cloth to moisten the liftgate glass and operate the rear wiper, after that switch the rear wiper to Off and look at the wiper arm's position on the park ramp, fixing it as required. Roll the plastic cap over the end of the rear wiper arm and push down firmly until everything snaps together.
