How to Maintain the Wiper Switch on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Start by turning off the supplemental restraint system by detaching the battery negative cable, waiting two minutes after the disconnection and then working on the wiper switch. After that, take out both the upper and lower shrouds from the steering column. After that, remove the two screws connecting the second multi-function switch to its tabs on the right hand side of the Steering Control Module (SCM). Immediately pull the switch from the SCM's back until it comes loose and then, remove it completely from the SCM.
