2008 Chrysler Pacifica Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Bleed a Brake Master Cylinder on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Then, place the brake master cylinder in a vise by the flange so that the piston rod, reservoir, seal and body are not being pressed during bleeding. After that, use a Bleeder Tube, Special Tool 8358-1, to clean each outlet port and lock it tightly to 14 Nm (120 in. lbs.). Stretch the tubes and place the open part into the fluid reservoir so the tubes remain below the water in your tank. After removing the brake pedal reservoir cap, pour Mopar(R) Brake Fluid DOT 3 or an equivalent in line with DOT 3 requirements, ensuring the fluid goes above the tips of the bleeder tubes so no air is introduced. Press the pistons down with the wooden dowel and release them again, until you are sure there is no air bubbling out, making sure the bleeder tubes remain covered in fluid. Following bleeding, pull the tubing from the outlet ports, cover the ports and screw on the fill cap to the tank. Once done, take the brake master cylinder out of the vise and put it in the vehicle.
