2008 Chrysler Pacifica ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install an ABS Control Module Correctly on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Check the seal around the ABM's mating edge as the first step in installing the ABM. Carefully clean away any dirt or dust from where the two parts meet. Don't harm the pressure sensor when you install it or it will require you to get a replacement HCU. Put the ABM solenoids and pump/motor wires in the spaces for the HCU valves and wires and safely slide the ABM onto the HCU. Place four screws into the ABM and tighten them to 6 Nm (53 in. lbs.) on the HCU. Before the connector goes on the ABM socket, raise the release lever all the way up, place the connector on the ABM and push it down until the lever locks. After that, install the wiring connector from the ABM into its docking point and then link the negative battery cable to the post on the battery. The scan tool should be connected to start the ABM, remove any existing faults, do the ABS Verification Test and perform a road test on the vehicle.
