How to Service and Repair a Parking Brake Cable for Rear on 2008 Dodge Dakota?

Before you start any rear park brake cable repair or service, raise and support the car and apply the master brake lockout. After that, adjust the cable adjuster nut so it is loose and pull the rear park brake cable off the intermediate park brake cable. Fold the rear park brake cable fitting on the cable's end and push this tabs into the front plate from the rear to engage them. With the park brake lever released, squeeze the tabs on the cable fitting on each cable at the brake support plate. At last, take off the brake cables from their supports.
