2008 Dodge Durango Blower Motor Resistor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service a Blower Motor Resistor on 2008 Dodge Durango?
A: Begin the service on the blower motor resistor by disconnecting and isolating the battery negative cable, then waiting two minutes to let the air bag system capacitor discharge. Turn off the blower motor for at least five minutes before checking the resistor; it tends to heat up while running. Make sure the resistor is still in place before using the fan or you could cause damage to the vehicle. Take care of connecting and disconnecting the black battery cable first. Remove the two screws that hold the trim cover, found on top of the blower motor resistor just below the driver's side of the gauges and take out the cover. After that, remove the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor. Remove the two screws holding the blower motor resistor in place and then remove the resistor from the front HVAC housing.
