How to Remove and Service a Front Crankshaft Seal on 2008 Dodge Sprinter 3500?

You should disconnect the negative battery cable and lift and hold the vehicle up before servicing the front crankshaft seal. Unscrew both the lower splash shields at the front, the bypass valve and the cooler lines that link the transmission to the engine block. After that, remove the starter blank and set the # 9102 flywheel locking tool onto the car. Adjust the tension of the drive belt accessory by resetting the drive tensioner and adding a retaining pin, then remove the bolt holding the damper. Gently remove the vibration damper by pulling it with special tool #9544 to avoid injury to the timing chain cover. Moreover, take out the front crankshaft seal by using appropriate seal pullers.
