2008 Dodge Viper Power Steering Pump Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install a Power Steering Pump on 2008 Dodge Viper?
A: Attach the power steering pump on the engine using three bolts, secures them tightly with 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.) each. Hook the supply hose onto the fitting on the power steering pump and clamp the return hose past the raised part on the pump connection. Fit the pressure hose onto the pressure end of the pump and tighten the nut to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). After that, put on the accessory drive belt and next, attach the air cleaner. After linking the battery's negative cable to the battery terminal again, you need to fill and bleed the power steering system. In the end, look for holes or gaps.
