How to Maintain the Wiper Switch on 2008 Jeep Commander?

Start the wiper switch service by turning off the Supplemental Restraint System and cutting off the negative battery cable for two minutes to discharge the system capacitor. Remove the shrouds at the top and bottom of the steering column to start. Afterward, take out the screw holding the right multi-function switch to the mounting bracket of the Clock Spring on the right side. Move the switch to the side away from the Clock Spring to take the slide tabs off the formed channels in the bracket. Having done that, remove the jumper wire harness connector from the connector receptacle on the inside end of the right multi-function switch and take out the switch from the Clock Spring.
