How to Maintain and Fix an Evaporator on 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Start the evaporator core service and repairs by taking out the unit's HVAC housing. Open the housing to access the A/C evaporator, remove the rubber seal and gently pull it and the insulator through the top opening in the housing's lower half. Should the rubber be defective or damaged, take it out, replace it and apply new caulk. In case you have to, eliminate the insulator from the evaporator unit and replace it with a new one if it is damaged.
